Broadband Policy Symposium: Fiber to the Constituent
Tuesday, July 30, 2:30 PM - 5:30 PMThe fiber broadband industry is the focus on the largest federal capital investment cycle in a generation as the industry comes together to close the digital equity gap for all Americans. What does it mean to people and communities, that were previously unserved, to finally be able to connect to the unlimited possibilities available in today’s digital marketplace? It delivers the opportunity to have a generational impact on the people that live in these communities, raise local GDP, improve quality of life, and reinvigorate local economies with new jobs, industries, and opportunities to work from home. These newly connected people and communities will be better educated, informed, and engaged, better able to share their opinions and interact with the leaders elected to serve them in local, state, and federal elections.
Overbuilder Toolkit: Building a Brighter Future
Tuesday, July 30, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Over the past decade, the market has rewarded the promise and opportunities created by telecom overbuilders with increased access to capital to expand and grow. This growth has created increased competition for residential broadband services in both established suburban and urban markets, but also those previously unserved rural communities that have fiber broadband in their sights. These untapped markets present a unique opportunity for these operators to create a fiber first touch – establishing incumbency in markets previously unserved.
