SCOTT R. HENDRIX is the Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel to Tombigbee Electric Power Association (serving 45,100 members over 7 counties) and Tombigbee Fiber, LLC (4,000 miles of fiber passing 55,000 locations). Mr. Hendrix was the first attorney in the State of Mississippi to serve as counsel for more than one of Mississippi’s 26 electric cooperatives, having served as general counsel to Tombigbee, Monroe County EPA and North East EPA as well as regularly assisting Tippah County EPA. Mr. Hendrix formerly served general counsel for Central Service Association, a software, billing/benefit provider doing business across the TVA valley, and was panel counsel for Federated Rural Electric Insurance Company. Mr. Hendrix was actively involved in representing cooperatives for twenty-three years, taking part in state and federal litigation and matters before the Mississippi PSC. Mr. Hendrix has also served on certain committees with The Electric Power Associations of Mississippi, including its legislative committee, co-drafting changes to the EPA Act of Mississippi and Broadband Enabling Act. Mr. Hendrix serves on the national board of the Electric Bar Association (NRECA)(being the first CEO to serve in that position. Mr. Hendrix further currently serves on the national advisory board for Calix, Tombigbee Fiber’s provider of modems, routers, and hut electronics, and as a board member and Vice President of Central Service Association, and as a board member to the Electric Cooperatives of Mississippi. Mr. Hendrix also serves on the board of North Mississippi Industrial Development Association; Megapop (a consortium bringing middle mile fiber to North Mississippi), a board member to North Mississippi Medical Center and the Pontotoc Mississippi Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Hendrix also serves as the Vice President and General Counsel to MS Fiber, LLC, an building Mississippi’s middle mile, DIA and regional service network.
