Sean Henry is entering his 14th season in SMASHVILLE and is thrilled to kick off the 25th Anniversary season for the Preds. With a deep appreciation for the organization and community, he reflects on the countless GOLDen Moments created by Predators players, staff, and partners since 1998, particularly during times of need. The passion of the fans has transformed SMASHVILLE into the envy of the sports and entertainment industry, solidifying its position as the #1 professional sports franchise by ESPN.
As CEO, Henry takes immense pride in the unique bond between the Preds and the SMASHVILLE community, including the Loyal Legion and the 7th Man. Their unwavering support has led to notable accolades such as Arena of the Year and Top Workplace recognition. He cherishes working alongside dedicated employees and passionate fans, aiming to make SMASHVILLE the premier sports and entertainment venue in the U.S. with the Stanley Cup Champion Nashville Predators at its heart.
The 2023-2024 season follows a year where SMASHVILLE hosted major hockey events, showcasing the city’s passion. The 2022 NHL Global Series, the 2023 NHL Awards Show, and the 2023 NHL Draft all shone a spotlight on Bridgestone Arena and its vibrant atmosphere. Bridgestone Arena’s impact on the community extends beyond economic benefits, fostering intangible connections through memorable experiences since its inception in 1998.
Before leading SMASHVILLE, Henry’s career included roles with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Unity Motion, and Volume Services Inc., working with renowned sports teams. Beyond his professional endeavors, he serves on various boards and remains actively engaged in community initiatives, including the Nashville Predators Foundation and The Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital.
