John Greene is currently an owner and Chief Executive Officer for Mytra Consulting in Indiana. In that capacity, John leads a team of industry veterans in providing consulting services for ISPs, telcos, REMCs and other companies involved in the Broadband industry. John recently retired as CEO for New Lisbon Holdings, Inc. Its subsidiaries New Lisbon Telephone Company, New Lisbon Broadband and Communications, Pennsylvania Telephone Company, and Taylored Systems provide Broadband and advanced telecommunications services for over 5000 customers in Indiana and Pennsylvania, utilizing both fiber and wireless facilities.

John has over 45 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, starting his career with the Bell System. Over the years, he has also worked for competitive Broadband providers, consulting firms, and small rural telephone companies throughout the US. John also spent five years at Bellcore’s training center in Lisle, IL where he specialized in developing training for fiber optics and optical electronics, both transport and access.

John attended the US Naval Academy and later graduated from North Central College with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Science and has an Information Networking Certificate from Carnegie-Mellon University. John resides near Muncie, Indiana with his wife Maurita. They have four grown children who reside in London, England, Denver, Colorado, Chicago, Illinois, and Ontario, Canada. John has been active in many community efforts and sat on multiple Boards at the local, state, and national level.

In addition to doing industry consulting, John enjoys his retirement by working on home projects, kayaking and fishing, and playing golf. He also enjoys a good cigar paired with a smooth bourbon.
